Session Fees

We understand that discussing fees can be a sensitive and often uncomfortable topic for clients. However, it is important to have an open and honest conversation about the cost of therapy sessions to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the financial commitment involved in seeking treatment. It is important to note that therapy is an investment in your mental health and well-being, and the cost of therapy should be viewed as a long-term investment in yourself. 

No Show Appointments

If a client does not show up for their scheduled appointment and does not provide notice, it will be considered a no-show appointment. You will be charged the full fee for the missed appointment out of pocket. You will be required to pay the missed session fee before scheduling any future appointments.  

Please note you can be billed for both a cancellation and no show fee for the same appointment. We don’t like charging these fees any more than you like paying them, so please give us advanced notice!

Scheduling

 We schedule our appointments so that each patient is able to make use of the full session time. It is important that you keep your scheduled appointment and arrive on time to ensure all other clients receive the same courtesy. 

Appointments can be scheduled or requested using the therapy portal or by contacting your therapist directly. Same day appointments may be available but are not guaranteed. The standard appointment duration is 45-50 minutes. Your insurance may be billed at a 15-minute add-on for exceeded appointment time.  

Late Fees

Clients are expected to arrive on time for their appointments. If you are late for your appointment, the appointment will still end at the scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, the session will be cancelled and considered a no-show appointment. This is to ensure there is enough time to conduct a productive session. Sessions that are 30 minutes or less do not provide adequate time for therapeutic work.

Cancelled Appointments

If your schedule changes and you cannot keep your appointment, please contact us within 48 hours’ notice so that we can reschedule and accommodate clients who are waiting to schedule. Appointments not canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours’ notice are subject to a $100 service charge. The cancellation fee is not reimbursable by insurance. You will be billed directly for it. 

After three consecutive no-shows to your appointment, our practice may decide to terminate its relationship with you.  

Billing and Records

We use TherapyNotes electronic healthcare software to ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance for all your records, sessions, and interactions with our practice. Copies of your paperwork, billing, and other documentation is available through the client portal. You can use the therapy portal to pay all unpaid balances, access your billing information, update your account information, and view your therapy appointments.
